Heritage Society

Donors make a difference by impacting the work and mission of the National Academy of Sciences with their support.

The Heritage Society celebrates members and friends who have planned a gift today that provides for the future. We gratefully recognize individuals who make a bequest, beneficiary designation, or another type of planned gift to the National Academies.

Members of the Heritage Society have provided a legacy gift that upholds the mission of the National Academy of Sciences. In honor of their contributions, Society members are:

  • Presented with a cast Heritage Society medal;
  • Invited and recognized at annual Academy events;
  • Recognized on donor recognition plaques at the historic NAS Building and Keck Center in Washington, DC, and Beckman Center in Irvine, CA; and
  • Listed in Academy publications.
